Slovakia Hotel furnished with trendy veneers from europlac
About 100 kilometres north-east of the Slovakian capital Bratislava, the small town of Topolcany is located in the Danube hill country. It is an attraction for hiking and cycling tourists, because the idyllic surroundings have a lot of beautiful things to offer. Surrounded by a fantastic park landscape, guests can now spend a relaxing night in Villa Karla, built in 1912 in late Art Nouveau style. In the newly renovated building, all hotel rooms have been furnished with trendy veneers from europlac.
The renovation and modernisation of the hotel rooms was successfully completed in January 2020. Now the hotel is open for its guests again. Each of the five guest rooms in the small but fine Villa Karla was individually decorated in a different trendy wood species. Veneers of the wood species oak, chestnut, walnut, maple and ash were used. All veneers are natural with their unique colour shades and different surface structures. The highlight: Slovakian architects Hronsky and Daniel decide on a different modular arrangement for each veneer type. "Our "Pythagoras" wood tile system, which won the Red Dot Award 2020, combines geometry with decoration and creates a doubly individual effect," explains europlac company boss Marina Röhr. "The veneer tiles can be combined in mathematically related tile sizes to create ever new surface designs", explains Röhr and is pleased that the system has been developed on an industrial and thus also economic product basis. There are almost no limits to the imagination here. With "Pythagoras", completely new design possibilities can be created for floors, walls and ceilings, but also for furniture.
The international guests now expected will feel very much at home in the renovated rooms, because wood has been proven to contribute to relaxation and well-being. Villa Karla also offers culinary highlights of the region in its own restaurant, so that nothing stands in the way of a successful stay. Villa Karla has also been designed as a lively showroom for europlac's special products and materials. Anyone who visits the europlac production site in Topolcany, Slovakia, is very welcome in the villa.
