The europlacFORMENHYBRID was awarded with the prize "Focus Special Mention"!

It combines technologies from three different areas and creates a material that sets completely new standards in its diversity and originality.

Companies and design agencies from all over the world have been able to participate in Focus Open with their most innovative product and concept solutions.

The International Design Award Baden-Württemberg is an integral part of the competition landscape both nationally and internationally and enjoys high reputation under the label "Focus Open" at companies and design agencies.

The noblewood up to 1.5 mm thick are made flexible with innovative vaporiser technology to then press them in a second step through a vacuum press in 3-D shapes.

By "refining" of noblewoods with digital printing can be presented a trendy structures, there are not possible with a normal surface treatment.

Styles like old wood, Shabby or Nordic are posible. The combination with the equally innovative calender roll technology, with which structures can be introduced into the noblewoods, makes the Formenhybrid perfect. Sawn, chopped or planewave are structures that normally require solid wood. Thanks to the technology developed, the wood can now be processed for high utilization, ecologically valuable.

Noblewoods of 0.6 - 1.5 mm can be processed with the help of all 3 techniques to a 3-dimensional materials, the europlacFormenhybrid. With the calendering technology can be produced formats up to 3200 mm long and 1500 mm wide.
