The surface is brushed with special brass wire brushes. The wood passes through 1-2 times depending on the desired depth. The soft and upper part of the hard annual growth rings are reduced by 20 - 40% depth, creating a rustic surface. The fibres are torn, creating a rough surface. Recommended veneer thickness from 0,9 - 2,5 mm.
